What is Virtual Reality?

2

Virtual Reality (VR) offers an unparalleled ability to transport audiences to different places, moments, or experiences. High-quality VR immerses viewers so completely in their virtual surroundings that they momentarily forget the real world. This phenomenon is known as ‘presence’.

By leveraging game engines like Unity, we can create fully immersive environments. These can range from real-world captured VR films to fully 3D-rendered interactive environments, or even a combination of both. Coupled with immersive, spatialized audio, these experiences go far beyond traditional flat-screen experiences and surpass the capabilities of VR from just a few years ago.

VR content is accessed through a headset, from basic models like the Google Cardboard to high-end versions such as the Oculus Quest 2, Quest Pro, HP Reverb, or Valve Index, which allow users to interact with their surroundings.

As a VR agency, Visualise is ideally positioned to advise you on the best type of VR (or AR) for your project. Contact us to discuss your options.

Types of VR we provide

Visualise is a virtual reality (VR) agency specializing in four main types of VR:

Interactive

Interactive VR transforms users from passive viewers into active participants, allowing them to fully engage with the experience. This type of VR transports you to an immersive environment that you can freely explore with six degrees of freedom. You can walk around, bend down, look around, pick up objects, and interact with the surroundings, making it feel like an entirely different world.

360º Video

360° video is a powerful storytelling format that places viewers at the center of the narrative, offering a highly immersive experience of real-world events or fictional scenes. Supported by major platforms like YouTube and Facebook, 360º video is the most shareable form of VR content, with the potential to reach millions. Discover more about our 360º video production services here.

Volumetric Video/Photogrammetry

Volumetric VR elevates interactive VR by using real images and videos of people, places, and objects to recreate the real world in a virtual setting. Recent advancements in volumetric studios, equipped with an array of cameras and sensors, have significantly improved the capture of spatial or volumetric video. These full-volume recordings are now used for groundbreaking virtual productions in Film & TV, as well as in industries like fashion.

Live VR / 360º Streaming

With live VR and 360º streaming, you can broadcast events directly to VR headsets, enabling an unlimited number of viewers to experience the event as if they were actually there. We’ve utilized this technology for music gigs, sports events, and business conferences. Our unique partnership with Meta Camera allows us to stream these events in unmatched quality.
